French Car Day October 2005.

There was a grand display of different Citroën models at this years French car day display at Guildford Common.  From nearest we see an AK250, an SM, a Xantia wagon, a Xsara, a 2cv, a GS, a D Super 5, a DS Pallas, a traction avant, a 2cv, an Ak400 and a 4WD 2cv that was visiting us from the UK.

New to ACE and the French car day are Shelley and Ian Melton with their newly acquired Citroën GS Pallas. This is Ian's 88 th car and his first Citroën. We welcome Ian and Shelley to the ACE club and the Citroën marque.

Here is a bit of new and old with the latest Citroën Pluriel parked in front of the Peugeot club's old Parisienne scene. French car day is of course an excuse for a really great picnic in the ideal surroundings at Guildford during spring in the valley celebrations.

Getting into the picnic mode are Al Roberts' Emma and Todd Bracegirdle along with that great party animal Greg Bracegirdle. It was rather cold with a little rain but as usual we really enjoyed the day and the company of good friends.

Here we get a big thumbs up from Al Roberts and Hanny Hibble, both enjoying the friendships of the ACE club.

On his trip around the world we have Rupert from the UK.   He is driving a modified 4WD 2cv which is behaving well except that 'its suspension is too hard to cope with the corrugated roads of outback Australia'.

Finally we have Clare and Will with wine glasses to hand and Carol and Hanny against a backdrop of two magnificent D series Citroën
